The Wicked Lovers Series by Shayla Black is one of the sexiest, most intense, and just plain brilliant series out there today. I always find myself counting down the days until Shayla gives us another one of her masterpieces. Not only does she create these magnificent characters and thrilling story lines, but she pulls you in with so much depth and emotion that you can't help but get attached. There is just something about this author's way with words, both crazy sexy and ridiculously emotional, that will have you squirming in your seat, craving and begging for more.
I think the main reason why I loved Theirs to Cherish so much was the fact that this was supposed to be my man Thorpe's happy ending. Mitchell Thorpe, owner of Dominion, was introduced to us in previous Wicked Lover books. He was the hard ***, intense Dom who never took any ***t from no one. His word was law in Dominion, and ***n did he just hit all the right buttons for me. He was always a mystery. A mystery that always had you thinking in the back of your mind, "what is his deal?" Thorpe was always the man in the background, a gorgeous man who was unreachable, unattached, and always in control. A past relationship killed his spirit, and now he doesn't believe he is good enough, tender enough to care for the one woman that he's wanted by his side since the first time he laid eyes on her.

Sean Kirkpatrick, the newest Dom in town, has his sights set on the sub that Thorpe has sworn to protect. He's collared her, made her his, but there is more to him. He is a mystery himself. Sean has secrets, secrets that could destroy his future with his "lovely." In most ways, Sean is the opposite of Thorpe. Sean is tender, more gentle.
FANTASTIC! I loved this book. It reminded me why I'm such a huge fan of Shayla Black and the Wicked Lovers series. I could tell she put a great deal of work into this story and developing the characters. I've wanted Callie's back story for so long and Ms. Black didn't disappoint. I became attached to all the characters from the start and was thrilled at how fast she grabbed me and took me along the quest for Thorpe/Callie/Sean's Happy Ever After.
We have sassy Callie (thank you for not changing her), hard-nosed Thorpe (I would love nothing more than to be disciplined by him), and the ever so sweet and loving Sean (whom I didn't know but grew to LOVE). I won't lie and tell you I was excited that this book was a menage. I don't hate menages, but I'm not a lover of them either. One reason is because it's very hard for me to "buy into" the relationship. However, with this trio, I had NO issues with them AT ALL. The way she brought them together, especially the men because I had doubts when they disliked each other so much, was written in a way that proves unlikely people with the same goal (In this case it was keeping Callie safe and giving her what she needs) and love you can accomplish anything. Thorpe and Sean becoming friends after such a rocky start was a highlight of the story for me. Even though Sean and Callie would have made a great couple, Callie really wasn't complete without Thorpe. He brought something to the table that Sean lacked. The story more than proved why the three of them should be together but I would love to see them after the HEA. I definitely wanted more of that.
There is so much in this book that made me happy.
