the study guide is the best to format for the new test of the guides availble--to this point. It still needs some fine tuning, however the practice tests are really changed from previous editions. the multiple choice contains more question "sets", a lot of particulate level drawings, the seven fr questions seem to be redone completely--not just reschuffle old types of questions under new heading like the other reveiw guides out so far.
they mention PES, but do not show any PES data, they include a chapter on organic--which I do not believe is too relevent anymore. but this is light years better than the review guides I've looked at so far.

I am a semi-retired chem teacher who tutors chemistry online. I bought this book as a reference book and to hone my AP skills. I was sorely disappointed in how many errors I found in the practice exams. Glaring errors in several of the free response questions.
90% of the text book was fine - but the 10% with errors slowed me down considerably trying to find sources to assure the correct answers and methodology. As a long time chem teacher these were easy for me to spot - but I worry about the inexperienced chem student who is relying on what is in this book to help them prepare for the AP test.
This would not be so bad if the text book would allow us to provide/suggest corrections somewhere online. And once vetted, a place to go to find the corrections. If this type of resource exists for this text, I have been unable to find it.
